New Years DC Dresses
New Years DC Dresses

I bought two New Years DC dresses last year. After I wore them, I had no use for them. I never go to dances or anything that I would be able to wear them again, and I do not want to wear them again to another New Years event. I could not return them to the stores that I bought them from because they have no return policies. Plus, it is just wrong to wear a dress once then take it back. Although the tags are no longer on the dresses, they are still in 100% perfect condition. I literally only wore them for a few hours each. I wore the long red dress to the pre-party dinner social. I did not spill a single morsel of food or drop of drink on the dress. I wore the short, flashy yellow dress to the actual party which I was only at until midnight. I went straight to my hotel room and changed afterward.

I have thought about selling them on Craigslist or Ebay because no one I know personally is interested in buying either one. They are beautiful new years dc dresses, but no one wants to wear the same dress that someone they know has already worn. The red dress looks like something that a bridesmaid would wear, so a bridal shop may be interested in it. I originally bought it half off at Kohl's. The yellow dress reminds me of a homecoming or prom dress. I am sure a teenage girl would love to have it. Since I got that one for 75% plus free shipping from dresses.com, I would not be losing much money if I let it go for $40. Plus, I would feel good about the girl not having to spend much money on a dress she really likes.

If worse comes to worst, I could always donate the dresses to Goodwill or the Salvation Army, but I would rather know who they are going to end up with. Even though I only had the dresses for about a month and I only wore them for a few hours each on New Years DC, I have some weird attachment to them. Next time I buy dresses that I know I will only wear once, I will give it a little more thought first.
