Using these boxes is an effective and important way to excel at organizing your closet. Throwing them into piles on the floor can get confusing, and this way you have a designated location for each item before you even get started.
Begin the process by slowly removing items, and placing them into these boxes. It's common to find the "other locations" box full first.
To avoid that from happening, it's always a good idea to really think about the item and ponder if you need it or not. If you know deep down that you don't need it, put it in the charity or discards box.
