Plan A Party The Office Will Never Forget

An office party can lighten the mood of a stressful office environment for employees. While an office party for Christmas, Halloween, and birthdays are common, what about a random office party just because. Depending on the type of work environment will play a major role in the type of office party thrown. Throwing an office party will take some effort on behalf of the workers but is worth the effort. Office Party Themes - There are numerous office party themes to select from including a luau themed party, decade themed party, fiesta themed party, game themed party, and toga/Greek themed party. Office Party Games and Activities - No office party is truly complete without a wide variety of party games and activities for employees to participate in. White Elephant: Employees should bring a gender-neutral gift to the office with a set budget $20 limit for example). Have everyone draw numbers out of a hat to determine what order they will go in. The first person starts and takes a gift from the pile. The second person has the option of taking a new gift from the pile, or stealing the gift from the first person. For those who do steal the gift, the first person goes again by picking a new gift from the pile, or stealing their gift back. All gifts are subjected to theft, but each gift can only be stolen once by the same person. Keep the game goind until each player has a gift. Co-worker Trivia: Write random trivia facts from each employee. Create an anonymous list of all the facts and a list of everyone participating. Pass the list out and whoever correctly matches the most facts to people wins. For even more fun try Coffee Cup Ping-Pong, starting with an empty coffee cup place on a table or desk. Try and bounce a ping-pong ball into the cup. This is a very simple, yet challenging party game. Now this is a really fun game called Two Truths and a Lie; have each player tell three facts about themselves two are true and one is a lie. Write down the two truths and a lie on a chalk or dry erase board. Have the rest of the employees guess on which is the lie. A good office game is "Find Your Mate" where cards are passed out to everyone each having an animal's name on it. Have employees ask each other questions during the party and see who can find their mate. Ensure there are an even number of players so each employee can find their mate. Awards for winners of party games can include gift cards and general party favors.
