Beginners tips to how you can sucessfully submit an article

I thought i'd share some of my experience of when i submit article to some of the leading article directories out there, were all in this game of article marketing for three reasons:

Backlinks that are permanent

Steady residual referrer traffic directed to your website, for free

Ranking for your choosen search terms

Above are the three big reasons why we use article marketing and the hugh advantages they bring to our websites. This guide will help you suceed when you submit an article for review and help increase your chances of your article submission being approved.

Read through the Article directories terms and conditions (TOS)

I know, yes reading terms and conditions are boring to say the least, but we must understand the importance of an article directory's terms and conditions, because your article submission maybe breaching some, or all conditions. This lays down broadly what the article directory will accept when you submit an article and will not accept in terms of content, licensing orassociation.

Author Submission Guidelines

Now these are the real deals, if your article upon article submission fails to meet an articles directory author guidelines, your article is likely to be declined and won't be published. But in General, there are a number of universal guidelines, you'll find on many article directory sites, such as:

Minimumword counts, a good rule of thumb stick to around 500 words and not below. A very long article can look intimidating, may bore the reader or they loose confidence in finding the information they need.

Don't write large paragraph's or submit article in one hugh block of text, it makes articles differcult to read.

Don't use symbols in the title, for example the "&" symbol, as this often will cause problems with rss feeds/the article directory xml sitemap.

Hard breaks, this is basically when you hit enter twice or use the html tag for break.

Don't blatently advertise your website or business.

Article title's should be 80 characters or near to, but not over, as google ignore the rest of the title words above 80 characters.

Your article title should be formed in such a way that a human is likely to type the sentence into a search engine, as a search term, it'll increase hit too.

In a 500 word article, only place 1-2 anchor text links, remember the article is mean't to benifit the reader.

tags we love them, but only submit tags or keywords that feature in the Url, Title, Article body and summary, Google love's this keyword connected method and will surely make your article search engine optimized.

Keyword density - often it is preached that anything above 4% is keyword stuffing, broadly speaking, this is true, but isn't set in concrete, analyze your top 10 competitors keyword density first, then match it when you return to edit your approved article.

Keyword proximity - this is all about how close your keywords are to one another, "connected content" and adds weight to you keywords.

In the author bio box or resource box, i'd advise to use no more than 2 links, as any more than this can over saturate and be offputting to the reader, remember, it's all about reader experience and their response.

Only submit orginal content.

I hope the tips above have been helpful in the success of your article marketing campaign.
