Motorola Xoom is Ideal for the Business User and Socail Networker Alike

The Apple iPad will be the product that would be immediately coming to mind when you think of the tablet PC in general. However, it will be changing once the Motorola XOOM is launched by Motorola. This is the new invention and it will be taking the tablet PC segment to a new level because it is much faster than the Apple iPad by virtue of having the dual core processors. The introduction of this new space age processor in the Motorola XOOM is something that the industry has been looking forward to very much since the stagnation of tablet PC segment was starting due to the usage of the single core processor.

The Motorola XOOM will be using a 10.1 inch touch screen display that is slightly larger than the 9.7 inch unit of the Apple iPad, but it is a whole lot better than the touch screen display of the Apple iPad in terms of everything else. The maximum resolution of the screen in the Motorola XOOM will be 1280 x 800 pixels, which is also slightly better than the Apple iPad's resolution. The result of this increase in both the size of the display and the resolution will be obviously felt during actions like watching a movie and web browsing. These two tasks will be accomplished by the Motorola XOOM in the best possible way due to the usage of this high resolution screen coupled with a powerful processor. The dual core unit in the Motorola XOOM is rated at 1 GHz and is almost twice the speed of the processor in the Motorola XOOM.

The Motorola XOOM will be coming with three options when it comes to the internal memory. It is almost similar to the Apple iPad in this regard. The options that are available are the 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. The usage of the external memory card slots in the Motorola XOOM will be further enhanced in the memory of the tablet PC as per the customers need. The Motorola XOOM will be using a five megapixel camera, which is way ahead of the Apple iPad, which does not have a camera at all. Further, the camera will be coming with options like the dual LED flash and autofocus, while there is also a secondary camera to go along with it. The secondary camera is a two megapixel unit, which is great to be most likely used for the video conferencing more than anything else.

The Motorola XOOM will be running on the Nvidia processor, which will be providing plenty of power for the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. This is the latest tablet specific version of Android operating system, which is the most widely used operating system as of now. The other options in the Motorola XOOM will include the likes of the HDMI port and the Adobe Flash player 10.1. The Motorola XOOM is expected to cost around 450 for the basic version.
