With Red Nose Day just round the corner you may be trying to think up ways to fundraise that could make all the difference.
As those all around you are coming up with great ways to raise money and successfully finding sponsors you might think there are no other options left to you, but if you are running out of ideas you could take a weight off your mind by trying something different.
For many the gym is somewhere to focus on their fitness and work to stay in top shape so that you can get the most out of life. But not many people stop to think of ways that they can use their local gym and the time they spend there to make money for charity.
You might be hard pressed for time or unable to take part in a long distance race or cycle ride due to other commitments, but using your local gym to allow you to join in with the good work being done all around you could be a great way for you to do your bit whilst also seeing the benefits of regular exercise.
There are quite a few ways you could do this but as suggested on the Red Nose Day website why not get sponsored to row the length of the Channel on a rowing machine and head down to the gym to take up the challenge.
If you're not a keen rower but prefer to tackle the Channel challenge by yourself you could also use the swimming pool at your local gym to rack up the miles on a sponsored swim that would be sure to make a big splash.
If you are already a gym goer you could also fit a fund raising challenge into your schedule without having to make too many changes to your normal routine but making a big change to those who need it.
This could include trying to improve your running time over a set distance or completing a long distance cycle by completing a set distance per gym visit in order to reach your goal.
You could even make a scene by trying to complete one of these challenges in costume or even with a Red Nose Day t-shirt.
If you don't use the gym already why not use a fund raising opportunity to kick-start your adventure into a new healthy lifestyle.
Regular gym use could be a great way to give you the chance to take on an even bigger fitness fundraising challenge for next year's Red Nose Day such as taking part in a long distance bike ride, marathon or hike.
You could also use a sports hall to host a charity tournament like a 5-a-side football competition that would be sure to score some money from participants and net you your sponsorship goal.
And if you still can't think of any ways you can use your local gym to raise money for charity then why not use it to run off the frustration of not being able to talk to anyone as you look to complete your sponsored silence.
So why not do your bit for charity and get red faced for Red Nose Day!
