The Indonesia festivals and events are held almost throughout the year. Right from January to December, a large number of religious as well as non-religious festivals are held in this country. 5. In the month of August, the country celebrates its Independence Day. The celebrations are held on the 17th of August. There are parades and air shows on this grand day.
6. Held from August to October, the Kerapan Sapi (Bull Race) is an annual event that draws visitors and enthusiasts from different parts of Indonesia and the world. The Kerapan Sapi (Bull Race) is held at Madura Island and is very singular to the place. The Kerapan Sapi (Bull Race) was born out of the custom of plough teams racing and competing against each other across barren fields.

9. Held in the month of October, the Hari Raya Pusa festival is an important religious festival of the country.
10. The Bali International Jazz Festival is one of the major events in Indonesia. This festival draws visitors from all the corners of the world and is held every year in November.
