You do not have to engage in golf to know how golf clubs look like and what its essential purpose is. Golf clubs have three essential parts and each has its own detailed purpose.
Grip - The golf club grip plays an important role in playing golf. You need to choose the right grip for you if it is comfortable and its fits snugly on your hands. It may be made out of rubber, leather or synthetic leather. Golf grip sizes normally match the glove size of your hands.
Shaft - The shaft attaches the grip to the club head. Before shafts are made out of hickory but nowadays they are normally made out of stainless steel, titanium or graphite. Stainless steel is costly compared to the other two. Graphite shaft is commonly lighter than the stainless steel and more shock absorbent. Generally, women are advised to use graphite shafts because it is lighter and it is easier to swing. Titanium on the other hand is somehow the same with graphite. It is also lightweight and it can be adjusted to better suit the golfers' performance. Titanium clubs help enhance trajectory, ball flight and launch distance. Shafts made out of Stainless Steel will not absorb the vibration so the golfer will feel force of the shot. Steels are commonly preferred in irons because accuracy is the main concern when playing with these clubs.
Club Head - The club head plays a vital role. It is the part of the club that directly touches the ball. Club heads are made with quite a lot of key components. Golf club heads differ based on their size, shape, and weight distribution, styling and material composition. Club heads are usually made out of aluminum, alloy, zinc, titanium or stainless steel. They are attached to the shaft across the socket and hostel. The club face is the part of the club which actually taps the ball, while the sole is in contact with the ground on the backswing.
Remember, you need to know the key components of a golf club to better perform in playing golf. Be sure to check on your grip for good swing, your shaft to enhance trajectory & launch distance and lastly the club head that will tap your golf ball for better performance.
