This neat little tool overcomes this and runs much faster than the Add/Remove applet.
This is a freeware uninstall program. It has an advanced and fast algorithm which scans before and after you uninstall an application. Once the program's regular uninstaller runs, you can remove any remaining files, folders and registry keys that are normally left on your drive. Even if you have a broken or damaged installation, this will scan your hard drive for any remaining data showing you all remaining files, folders and registry entries that you can then delete using the program.
When you launch the program it takes you straight to the Uninstaller, which shows icons and titles of all programs installed on your computer. You can change the View to List or Details, if you want more information. Right-clicking gives you a list of choices, from the basic Uninstall and Remove from list, to Search Google for, Show the installation location, and access to the applications Help file, About, Update link and you can also open the Registry Key for each program.

The Tracks Cleaner accesses the Browsers Cleaner. By simply selecting your browser and ticking the appropriate boxes you can clean browsing history, temp files, cookies, download history and form history.
The Microsoft Office Cleaner will clean the Recent Documents History in Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and FrontPage simply by ticking the appropriate box and selecting 'Clear'.
Windows Cleaner will clear the tracks of file search history, recently opened documents history, open/save history, clipboard entries and much more.
Evidence Remover removes files that have already been deleted via the Recycle Bin. When you empty the Recycle Bin the files appear to have gone, but Windows does not physically delete them, just the reference to them. Evidence Remover will destroy the files completely from your hard drive, although the file name may remain, there will be nothing within it to recover, so use this with caution.
Another great function is the Hunter Mode, which offers click-and-drag uninstall and process killing functionality. With a single click of the mouse, you have the ability to uninstall, stop or delete a program, stop it from loading at startup, or even to get get information about the program.
