At the age of 65, Mike was overweight by 25 pounds. He tried to lose the weight by adapting a strict diet but instead he lost energy and vitality along with too much weight. He was too often tired and his friends realized this and were concerned about his well-being.
Two years later, when he was volunteering for a special fitness program, he realized that he had put on 25 pounds again. He tried to limit his eating habits and exercise and 6 months later he was slenderized again. But unlike before, he was not lacking in energy or vitality. Instead he was full of energy and looked very healthy.
What could have resulted in the divergence between what happened before and after? It is simply a matter of weight, begin what he lost initially and fat, what he lost after. It was found out due to extensive research that while exercises you raise the mass of your body while decreasing the excessive body fat. Contrary to this, if you diet alone, you lose a lot of your active tissues in the process and a minimal amount of body fat.
The same scenario can be associated with cellulite. Majority of people have a tendency to believe that you can only have cellulite if you are obese and they use this believe to pair cellulite with obesity and fat.
Not because cellulite attributes to the continuity of twisted subcutaneous connective tissues' and fat cells' below the membrane of skin means that it is only present in the fat or obese. Actually the claim is quite the opposite. Many people who are not fat or obese have cellulite.
Truth be told, it is not clear as to the reason why many people develop cellulite. Even so, health experts are thinking poison that may have entered the body or even the very make-up of the fat cells. Another theory is that hormones can be a factor to cause cellulite but all these theories are yet to be proven.
There is a reason though why majority of cellulite cases reside in the female category. This is because the female's connective tissues are of a more stringent and sturdy character than that of the males. That is the reason why whenever a female gets obese, it creates an orange peel' effect because the fatty cells tend to enlarge.
Therefore women should be more careful about keeping their bodies healthy because they are more susceptible of developing cellulite than the males.
Fats and Cellulite
Most obese people believe that it is because they are fat why they have cellulite.
Though being obese does not guarantee the production of cellulite, being obese does boost the chances of their development. This is as a result of the fat beneath the skin tending to shoving against the joining tissue resulting in a strain on the skin and thus, it produces cellulite.
This largely imbued upon the structure of the persons cells though. Because if someone's cells do not tend to get bigger when fat accumulates, then they will not get cellulites.
What the necessary thing to do is to ensure that you keep your connective tissues firm to prevent and avoid the development of cellulite.
How? Begin exercises
It is easier for us to turn food into fat than it is for us to lose the fat and the ways to attain this is to:
1. Reduce the amount of food you eat while maintaining activity level at a constant.
2. Boost your activity level while maintaining your food intake level constantly.
3. Unite both concepts and use both exercise and dieting.
You can burn from 300 to 600 calories per day if you do an hour of intense exercise. Also, if you reduce your calorie intake by 300 to 500 calories daily that coupled with the exercise can allow you to lose from 1 to 2 pounds per week.
If you were to not exercise, in order to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week you would have to reduce your calorie intake by 500 to 1000 calories a day. The extremely obese has to ensure that they exercise under medical supervision in an effort to not exert their connective tissue and cardiovascular system. This is why exercising is not for all persons who are overweight. Also, it is not advised that you reduce food intake dramatically without prior consultation with a doctor.
For those who are susceptible to developing cellulite, it is important that they do not try to lose weight by only dieting because this will make them more prone to issues. Meaning, the problem would not have been resolved.
Therefore, if you wish to lose cellulite, you should concentrate on losing the fatty cells. By increasing your metabolism rate by 7.5% to 28% more than the normal rate, you can burn off the fat cells.
Exercising is very important if you wish to reduce cellulite. That is why it is recommended that you have a regular exercise routine if you wish to have a body free of cellulite.
