Pole dancing has now also begun to grow into an exciting and effective form of exercise.

Now talking about the origin of pole dancing Pole Dancing has been around for quite long but in the last 15 years it has become more popular. It is somewhat related to the ancient myths and there are various stories related to it. But in 1900's when dancers in travelling shows started using the tent pole as a prop. Pole dancing gradually began evolving from tents to bars as burlesque became more acceptable in the 1950s.

Today's pole dancing craze is believed to have started in Canada in the 1980's in exotic table dancing and lap dance clubs. After that it quickly spread to the US followed by UK, Europe, and Asia Pacific. It is an updated version of strip tease. It is all about showing acrobatics and strength which is combined with sensual dance movements. Pole dancing is a form of sensual dancing and a vigorous sport that is usually performed by ladies of different ages. Contrary to the earlier belief that it is just performed at gentleman's club by strippers to earn some extra bucks. Today it has become more of a form of exercise as pole dancing actually strengthen muscles and regulates the body metabolism.

Pole Dancing For Beginners:

Beginners may find pole dancing a little bit challenging at first, but with practice and patience it will become get easier. It is important not to beat yourself up about not being able to master a trick at first. Just like most fitness programs, practice is key. These are the crucial points to keep in mind while learning pole dancing. Pole dancing is usually divided into three levels namely:

Beginner Level: In the beginning it is important to learn pole safety how to hold the pole for various moves. Position of shoulders and your body is also important because you need to make sure that your body is supported. The beginner level introduces you to the dance moves, the spins, the climb, the slides, the sit and your first set of hand grips. Learn the beginner level well to reach the advanced level easily.

Intermediate Level: At this level you start learning inverted pole dancing moves and stands. When you find yourself comfortable with the moves you learned earlier, you will continue learning more spins and holds. You work on developing more strength for further variations, trickier combinations and holds.

Advanced Level: As you gain strength, this level focus on improving your technique to polish your pole dancing skills and concentrate on smoothly linking your spinning moves, transitions and inversions. The choreography also becomes more challenging to enhance your coordination and fitness. At this level you will learn more complex and hard pole dancing moves with some beautiful inverted positions.
