Dance is one of the most ancient art forms, and probably one of the most marvelous. Through dancing, one can express their thoughts and feelings gracefully and beautifully. Dance not only appease the senses but also gives grace and agility to the dancer's body.

Many dance forms are popular in today's world. It is one of the most famous mode of entertainment. But it would not be wrong it say that dance is also a form of communication and unifies the society and culture. In ancient times, dance was used as a means of expression. As time passed, it was used to depict the human reaction to external factors like war, environment etc. It was also an integral part of rituals. But now a days, dance has become a part of everyday lives. A number of dance forms like Salsa, Indian classical dances, Jazz, Hip-hop etc have become popular. Learning how to dance is important for a number of reasons like keeping fit, socializing etc. Dance is a good stress remover. Also, when one goes to parties, anyone who does not dance literally becomes a wall flower!

One can take dance lessons in order to remove the initial hesitation. One may take a dance course for professional dancing or otherwise a dance class just for fun. Either ways, it will give you the confidence to dance or perform in front of people. But one must not forget that dance classes will only teach you the technique or polish your skills. But there is a lot of hard work which one has to put in.

Most of the dance forms need some music to be played. While learning to dance, one must play music which appeals to your senses so that you do not get bored. Learning how to dance can be a wonderful experience, one which you will cherish all your life. Parents must encourage their children to learn dancing early on in their lives. This will help their children become focused and disciplined.

When starting to learn how to dance, one must play music which you like. Next, try to move and sway your body with the beats. Once you become comfortable with this, you must relax your limbs and allow them to move with the beats in harmony with each other. Try to relax and remove all stiffness from your body. Allow your head to move with the beats, but one must try to avoid too much movement of the head. And voila! You have started to dance!
