My desire to help love lives
Years ago I came across some wonderful self help books and cd's. They were mainly focused on health issues and relationship help. I thought they provided great insight to some of life's big challenges, so I decided to buy more copies of the books/cd's and give them to friends as gifts.
They politely accepted and thanked me for the gifts. A few weeks later I asked them if they had listened or read any of the material, they all without exception told me they didn't listen to much if any of the material. I was shocked. I knew these people were having health and relationship problems because they were my close friends' so I thought this would be a great way to inspire them and get them moving in the right direction.
I was wrong; they were flat out just too lazy to read. Or even listen to the cd's while driving. I was starting to drift apart mentally from my friends' at that point. Months later when their problems got worse they begged me to help their health or relationship problems. I declined to help because they were too lazy to study any of the material that supplied a lot of useful answers to for people in their situation.
After that I decided that these were not the right friends for me.
My desire to help people's Bank Accounts
A few days ago I was handing out pamphlets advertising a "free electricity" generator; invented by Nikola Tesla (www.myteslasecret.com).
I was flabbergasted at people's reaction. I thought this would be a great affiliate venture because everyone uses electricity after all, so it would be a smart idea to drastically reduce your energy bills right? There is even an easy to understand video about how it works on the website, and it is cheap to build.
People took the pamphlet to be nice' but when I saw them intently looking at the paper (as if they were looking at a foreign language) I started to question if most people could actually read. After one week checked if there were any sales; nothing. I handed out more pamphlets, I did a massive mail out to suburbs and two weeks later I found out that still no one bought.
Some people would say to my face after reading the pamphlet (and me explaining to them what it was): "Bull____!" I told them there was a free video presentation and they had a 90-day money back guarantee if it didn't work for them and still people hated the idea.
That's when I finally lost all hope for the general population'. They spend hundreds of dollars a week on junk food, yet they wouldn't even try a device that could dramatically reduce their energy bills. These are the same people that constantly complain about high energy prices and other living costs, yet when there's a possible solution to their problem, they thoughtlessly cower away and say "Bull". Even when there is a money back guarantee, that's why I bought it, it's a no brainer.
I now refuse to offer my help to lazy members of society and no longer do mass mail outs or hand out pamphlets to people that hate to think.
