Why Are Humans So Devious?
Why Are Humans So Devious?

Of course, some of this crazy behavior we can all do without in our society. In this on-going program on "what makes humans act the way they do," we will explore some of these issues. The type of behavior we witness, which all make us shake our heads from time to time. So, let's go ahead and take a call, and find out what questions our listeners have shall we?

"Hello Emmett from Saskatchewan, Canada; did I get your name right there, what is your question?"

"Yes, that's correct, Emmett is the name; I had a question I wanted to ask; how come humans are so devious, it seems they are always up to something, and usually it is no good - aye? They always have a scheme up their sleeve to do something, and albeit, it's generally something diabolical - aye."

Interestingly enough, it's not just up in Canada we see this sort of thinking process in humans, it's a universal problem, we see it in the United States as well, throughout North America and on all of our Globe's continents. Human devious-ness appears to come from human desire, and some folks take their desire a little too far, willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want no matter who or what is in their way.

As they begin to think like this, they realize they must shield their actions from view, and mask their true intentions. Later when we see through their fog, decoys, and devious diversions, we ask ourselves; what gives, why are people so devious, why is that person the way they are? And we thank our lucky stars we are not like that. And yet, if we are honest with ourselves, we've all had devious thoughts, intentions, and perhaps actions at some time in our lives, and hopefully we learned from that, although not all do.

Therein lies the problem and the challenge too. Since we know some humans have ill-intentions and a devious displacement, we are forewarned that we should be surprised when someone throws us a curve ball. It happens, we all know that. We hardly need to watch movies or read suspense plot thrillers to see it, it happens in real life too. The longer we live the more crazy devious behavior we are apt to see. It's just human nature Emmet, so, I guess we all have to deal with it, and I thank you for the call.
