Is This The Next New iPhone 5 Awaiting Release?

I love the smell of iPhone 5 rumors in the morning. How about you? Well, so far this week, we're told Apple will replace the rear glass panel with aluminum... You read that right, a nice shiny new backing, well similar to its earlier generations.

Information and rumors about the next iphone is the talk on the streets and blogs as soon as its leaked.

The Chinese source, Japanese site Macotakara claims that Apple is abandoning the current iPhone 4's exposed antenna/glass backside construction for the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 will supposedly have an all-aluminum rear case similar to the newiPad 2. Wireless signals will penetrate the case via the Apple logo, which will be made from a plastic resin, presumably similar to the black bar on top of the 3G iPad 2. The source claims that Apple will ditch the glass panel due to common problems with scratching, breaking and the added weight of the panel. The original iPhone, if you remember also had an aluminium rear panel and many still believe this model had the best build quality. Do you think so? What's your opinion?

The release of the iPhone 5 is to follow an iPhone 4 prototype with a new massive 64GB storage capacity. This was announced by T3 and other tech sites yesterday.

An image showing 59GB of free storage space, the prototype device, which has appeared on a Hong Kong website. Despite not making it into full production, the leaked device gives a tantalising insight into the future of Apple's market leaking smartphone and what specs the iPhone 5 might launch with.

Although the report is - for some reason - generating hype primarily for the handset's rumored aluminum backing, the same report also dishes on something that - if true - would seemingly be of much greater interest to the majority of iPhone fans and users. The A5 dual-core processor that will feature in the recently unveiled iPad 2 and, if rumours are to be believed, a new metallic back casing with the handset's antenna built in to the rear mounted Apple logo! This is the best news yet about the new iphone 5 yet. There is now also news about apple to soon unveil the new os, iOS 5.

The 16GB and 32GB versions of the fourth generation Apple killer phone made it to stores, the leaked images reveal a 64GB capacity handset was in the works, hinting towards a possible larger storage addition to the upcoming range of iPhone 5 handsets.

A complete case redesign for the iPhone 5 isn't beyond the realm of possibility, but personally, I'll remain skeptical until there are corroborating reports from at least one other source. The iPhone 5 will likely be announced in either June or July of this year.

So to conclude, what do you think? Would you prefer an aluminum back panel? Or do you prefer the current black glass back panel?
