As opposed To Luke Donald, who is taking a pre-Masters break, Phil Mickelson has added a tournament to his pre Augusta schedule.

The world's finest left-hander finished a disappointing 55th in a field of 66 at the WGC-Cadillac Championship on Sunday and believes a lack of competitive TaylorMade Burner SuperFast TP 2.0 Driver was to blame

"I need a little bit more competitive golf - I've got some work to do," the World No 6 told PA before declaring that he had decided to add next week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill to his schedule.

"If I'd had a little more success earlier I probably would have not played Bay Hill, but I need a little bit more competitive golf," Mickelson said.

"I'm not shooting the scores I need to shoot. I'm not concerned with the way I'm hitting it or with any particular element of my TaylorMade Burner SuperFast TP 2.0 Driver, but I'm just not shooting the scores."

Mickelson failed to break 70 in his four rounds last week and closed with a hugely disappointing 76.

He indicated that if things didn't improve at Bay Hill, he might also play the Houston Open in the week before the Masters.

PGA Tour statistics showed that he hit 14 bunkers in the final round at the Blue Monster and found only four of the 18 greens in regulation.

No wonder the defending Masters champion is worried. These are not good stats ahead of an TaylorMade Burner SuperFast TP 2.0 Driver that demands great focus and accuracy.
