In this media driven era where everything is much hyped, I wiewed in TV that International wonen day was also celebrated with great dignity and pomp in India.
When we celebrate these days for women, we think of women power,successful women(that accounts to onlt 40%) and their devloping status.But actually we have to go too far.........
Today,Still 60% of women are binded by social status , family values,marital relations etc.Many girls get education but as soon as they get married they are restricted to four walls of house.She wakes up early in the morning and spend rest of the day at service of her family members.Nobody cares about her dreams.They are washed away in washing utensils ,clothes and are burnt in flames of kitchen.Even if she is well educated, she is not allowed to step out of her house to use her skills and knowledge just becasue she is BAHU of family......Till today in many families stepping out of house of women is viewed as abominable task for inlwas and husbands especaially in Marwadi and Gujus community.Much to tahe displeasur of family members and envious neighbour, even if she wishes to do something ,no co-operation is extended to her.She is expected to take needle and thread instead of pen and paper even in her free time.
She might have been an excellent student and might have had her own identity and wings ......But after marriage she looses her identiy and her wings are cut off.......and many lives in anonimity unsucessfuly striving to make her own identity.
For poor ladies conditions are morea worse.They are not imparted abasic educaton even and are married to a labour calass man( who most of them are drunkard and irresponsible) which forces her to take job of house maids.She balances both hose and work wiht utmost difficulty.
Weather women is educated or not , She has got lot of potential in herWhen she is poor and uneducated she is forvced to over use her capacity in name of responsibility and when she is educated and married she is not allowed to use her knowledge and skills in name of " Responsibility of house"
I wonder what is the solution and my mind says its " TIME" and " Educatation to Women".......
