Satellite TV providers are numerous in United States, amongst which DirecTV is the most popular. However, with recent accusations against the company has created a lot of uproar in the nation. People are pissed off the company that is following several malpractices and misleading subscribers. In fact, a recent complaint has come from a subscriber who faced real troubles with the satellite TV provider. What is not expected of a top company like DirecTV, however, the same are coming to the forefront from different consumers.
One of the DirecTV subscribers has complained that after signing up with the company, it took longer than usual for a technician to install the equipment, and which was confirmed would be new. However, he noticed some problems with the reception, and found out that the dish, which was installed was old and had oxidization marks. When he called up customer representative of DirecTV and complained, he was told to his surprise that this would be rectified at his expenses. Next, when he was programming with the remote, he was shocked to see that DirecTV had delivered him a lower pack, instead of the premium package that he had signed up. This really disappointed him. Well, he again complained about this programming problem to DirecTV and was told that this would be fixed.
Moreover, a couple of days later his receiver was replaced but he still had difficulty in enjoying the satellite TV. In fact, every week the reception was lost for a full day. To this complaint, DirecTV representatives responded with an answer maintenance shutdown', which irritated this subscriber a lot. This scenario continued for about 7 months and he had to bear with the substandard services for such long. Nevertheless, post 7 months, he decided to cancel the services. When he enquired about how to settle the bills, he was told that he would receive final settlement bill. Though, he made the payment through cheque, he was surprised to find out that there was a debit card withdrawal for the same amount. This incident disturbed the subscriber greatly, for he had not signed up for AutoPay.
On enquiring, he was passed through several representatives and was kept on hold several times, but without any help. Everyone said that the sum would be returned within a time frame of about 6-8 weeks, which was company policy'. Shockingly to hear, as what other company policies were the satellite TV giant was following? Anyhow, finally a DirecTV supervisor guaranteed him that he would get back money within 8 days'. But as usual, liars can never be helpful. Thus, the subscriber did not receive the money back, and when he called up once again he was told the same old story regarding the company policy'. Really, all these incidents have proved that DirecTV has made a fool out of this subscriber involving him in all kinds of deceptions and scams. The subscriber is highly frustrated to find a big company like DirecTV behaving in this manner with its subscribers. But the fact remains that it is true!
