The standard training contains 11 modules in total which is usually completed in less than three months. It is advised that before taking admission in any school, you should check that the institute is accredited by the state's board of nursing. Red Cross which is a very famous institute in the field of medicine is also offering its services in 38 cities. If you are not able to pay the fees of training institutes, you can join a nursing home. There are many nursing homes which allow you to get your nursing assistant training for free, but they bound you to work only with them for particular time duration on a pre-decided pay which is normally not very high.Once you finish the training you will be appearing in an exam, which is conducted by the officials of government. This exam has two sections and the first section is about theoretical knowledge. This section of the exam will consist of 50 MCQS .The second part of the exam will be testing your practical skills in a real ward.A nursing have various job opportunities in different places like nursing homes, hospitals and small clinics. A nurse working in a hospital usually works for 40 hours in a week with two days of rest. A nursing assistant working at patient's home is required to be at her job round the clock but she also get some extra facilities like accommodation. A nursing assistant can earn from 10 dollars up to 18 dollars per hour which is high pay scale.
