Dental Marketing Tips: Why I Read Girlie Magazines!

Yes, in fact it's true!

I love reading girlie magazines.

And I'm not afraid to come clean and confess to my addiction.

A couple that come to mind are...

Cosmopolitan

US Weekly

Glamour

People

All the "usual suspects" you'd find in the check-out line at your local grocery store.

But why in the world would I let my eyes pour over such smut?

Well, there's a very good reason.

You see the best way to build your marketing education is to read these same girlie magazines.

How could that be?

You first have to understand the goal of each of these magazines.

And that's simply to sell magazines.

So they hire the best writers, to write captivating headlines that grab your attention just long enough so...

You'll Fork Over A Couple Of Bucks To Buy The Damn Magazine!

Take for example a recent cover Women's Health magazine.

Here are a few of the catchy headlines:

New Shortcuts To A Slim, Sexy Body!

Better Sex... Tonight!

Easy Ways To Cut 400 Calories A Day!

Do you see the connection?

Womens Health writes headlines that appeal to the wants of their prospects.

So that anyone who glances at this cover, and who wants to look and feel better...

...is likely to buy a copy, and read it cover to cover.

So what's this got to do with you getting new patients into your dental practice?

Well, in fact girlie magazines can be your blueprint to crafting your own mesmerizing advertising.

Here are a couple of ways you can do that:

1. Write catchy headlines.

You've got about 2 seconds to grab your prospect's attention. And get him or her to start reading your body copy. That's why a catchy headline is a "must".

2. Tell mesmerizing stories in your body copy.

Nobody will read your marketing if the body copy is boring. To get around this, and get your point across, tell plenty of stories. Stories have been around forever. And they work great in advertising copy.

3. Always make an irresistible offer.

It's a darn shame so much marketing never makes an offer. Don't make this mistake. Instead, take a moment and come up with "things" your prosects want from you. And then use these to craft your offer.

4. Never be boring.

This is most important. Do not be a dull and dry dentist. This wiil kill any chance you have of trying to make the sale.

Do all of these things (and read those girlie magazines too) and your dentist marketing promotions will see an increase like never before.
