Chester Furniture Stores

Buying furniture in Chester should be a piece of cake with such a huge selection of furniture stores in the area. The majority of furniture retailers can be found at the same location, Greyhound Retail Park. Having the retailers so close to each other should make the shopping experience less stressful for the customer as it cuts out the added travelling time moving from store to store.

The retail park includes the likes of Alan Ward Furniture, CSL, DFS, Furniture Village, Dreams, Oak Furniture Land, Dunelm Mill and Tesco. Although all of these are big name brands they each offer something different to the consumer.

Alan Ward Furniture offers a variety of products including living and dining furniture, bedroom furniture, floor coverings, home accessories, sofas and chairs and conservatory/outdoor furniture. The furniture available is varied and included glass, wood and painted pieces.

Furniture Village offer much the same as Alan Ward Furniture but with their own version of the products, again offering sofas, chairs dining and bedroom furniture.

Oak Furniture Land specialise in solid wood products made from Oak, Mango and some Mahogany. They have a wide variety of styles available catering for those looking for traditional or contemporary furniture for their homes.

Furniture on offer by Tesco obviously appeals to a completely different market. If readily available, self assembly furniture is required Tesco could be just the quick fix.

DFS and CSL are both sofa and upholstery retailers offering a few occasional tables in amongst the sofas. If looking to kit out the whole house with furniture this is not the one stop shop for that.

Dreams are well known as bed specialists with a huge selection of beds, headboards and mattresses to choose from. They also sell pieces of bedroom furniture to match the beds including chests and wardrobes.

To add to the choices already available at Greyhound Retail Park, a brand new 'John Lewis at Home' will be opening in autumn 2011. John Lewis has developed the 'at home' concept as a direct result of customer feedback. More than 200 jobs are set to be created when the new store, including cafe, opens. The new 'at home' shop will focus exclusively on furniture, furnishing accessories, electrical and home technology. Computer terminals at the store will also allow shoppers to browse through a wider range of John Lewis products for home delivery or next day collection.

With such a great choice of Chester furniture stores the stress should be considerably eased when moving home or planning that home make-over.
