Microsoft has finally launched their final version of Internet Explorer. We've got some good news fromMicrosoft for allInternet Explorer users out there. Microsoft has launched this new version Internet Explorer 9on Monday, March 14th at SxSW in Austin, Texas.
Internet Explorer 9 is currently in beta state and it focuses on HTML 5 and on web performance, as well as on graphic hardware acceleration. Withmore than 2 million downloads of its release candidate thus far, we're assuming that Internet Explorer 9 final will be quite a hit.
Let us have a look at what the new features they have add to the existing internet explorer 8 to spice up the new version of internet explorer ,the IE 9. Here below is what they have to say about IE9:
Internet Explorer 9 supports severalCSS 3 properties, embeddedICC v2 or v4color profiles support viaWindows Color System, and has improvedJavaScript performance. It also featureshardware-accelerated graphics rendering usingDirect2D, hardware-accelerated text rendering usingDirect Write, hardware-accelerated video rendering usingMedia Foundation, imaging support provided byWindows Imaging Component, and high fidelity printing powered by the XPS print pipeline. IE9 also supports theHTML5 video and audio tags and theWeb Open Font Format. Some industry experts claim that Microsoft will release IE9 as a major out-of-band version that is not tied to any particular version of Windows.
The system requirements for IE9 areWindows 7,Windows Vista, orWindows Server 2008 (withPlatform Update and IE8);Windows XP is not supported. Both32-bit and64-bit builds are available.
It seems this new version of internet web browser is a good arrival and also it has lot of new features. The only Bad side of this version is that is it not supported by Windows XP. as we all know , XP is the most and widely used Microsoft OS.
I am still woundering how they miss this new web browser to making it compatible to Windows XP. Surely XP users will get disappointed and have no chance to try out this Internet Explorer 9.
The other Big question here is , will this new version beat its compititors like Chrome,Firefox ?
