Beat Stress, Lose Weight, Get Fit - Add Yoga to Your Lifestyle

Yoga is simple - you should try it. Basically, it's about holding your body in different positions and breathing accordingly - the breathing and the stretching of your muscles and internal organs benefit you to lose (or gain) weight, force yourself to relax, rid yourself from certain diseases and all in all, stay fit, both physically and mentally.

Nowadays with even celebrities doing a full time job of spreading yoga awareness, I guess everyone knows how good yoga can be in their lives. I won't repeat the same things over and over again, but would like to emphasize how adding yoga to your lifestyle can help you.

Like any other workout style, there are different levels to Yoga - beginner, intermediate and advanced.

Most people belong to the beginner level, which means they have had little or no previous experience with Yoga. Once you start, you can move on to the intermediate level, and then finally to the advanced level.

Also to keep in mind - if you haven't been practicing Yoga for some time, it's best to start at the beginner level to avoid any possible injuries to your body. After a few days, you can move on to the intermediate level, as you please.

Advanced level in Yoga includes complex positions or "asanas", and if you do these positions without proper supervision, you are likely to suffer from minor injuries like sprains, etc. So it's best to start with beginner level Yoga. Plus these are more fun and simple, and you are less likely to sustain any kind of injuries even without any kind of supervision.

Usually, people are more happy to have one-to-one Yoga sessions rather than group sessions. But having a buddy around always helps, doesn't it? So be sure to grab your buddy for your Yoga routines too. In fact, there are many asanas you can perform with help from your buddy, and vice versa. Both you and your buddy will develop a healthy habit, plus also have fun hanging with each other. That definitely sounds fun!

Now, if you're thinking of joining any Yoga class, or even simple Yoga at home, be sure to get a health review first - understand your medical history, your body type, your restrictions (if any), etc. Consult with your physician to secure his confirmation to start Yoga routines.
