Putting Recovery Into Context - Moretti Associates

"Moretti Associates", the European-based investment house, suggests that although there are encouraging signs of improvement in the pace of economic recovery in the US, investors must remain mindful that it has not come at inconsiderable cost.

Mirek Nemacek, a senior Vice-President at "Moretti Associates" said, "It's quite easy to get caught up in the relief and euphoria of noticeably superior economic data but there's going to be an eye-watering price to pay in the form of fewer people in jobs, higher taxes and elevated inflation that, for those on modest incomes, will be nigh on unbearable."

Mr. Nemacek was addressing delegates at an investment symposium when, upon being asked how the firm was advising its clients to insulate themselves from the fallout of profligate fiscal and monetary policy, he responded by saying that the firm's stance on gold and silver remains as stoic as ever.

"Moretti Associates" believe that the recovery in the US is sustainable only as long as the Federal Reserve's ability to provide additional stimulus remains unhindered by a newly-empowered Republican majority in Congress which has already signaled its opposition to what it sees as further weakening in the reserve currency status of the US dollar.
