Wicker Patio Furniture is in Style Again - Use it to Beautify Your Patio Decor

Wicker patio furniture is in style this year again, and that is good news because we are again allowed to use this beautiful and extremely lightweight material to beautify our patios and backyards. But first of all what makes wicker so useful as a patio furniture?

Wicker is made of either willow, rattan, bamboo or reed. All these fibers are quite light, making them an excellent material for creating chairs and tables of wicker. They are also very slender but quite sturdy to withstand the outside weather conditions. As these materials are very light, they make for a really lightweight furniture that is a great benefit over other furniture materials. This is because they can be easily moved to any location within the backyard and can be arranged and rearranged any time the need arises.

Also they are much cheaper compared to other more solid materials, which makes them a clear favorite with many homeowners. This doesn't mean that you are not able to find costly wicker chairs or tables, but it does mean that now everybody can afford them, depending on their budget and preferences. For example there are furniture pieces with some quite intricate patterns and weaves that makes them stand out from the rest. Of course this also makes them more expensive. But if you can afford them, they will instantly beautify your patio and increase its value.

An additional benefit is the fact that they match well any outdoor ambient due to their rather muted colors ranging from dark brown to light brown, and fit nicely in any backyard. They can easily blend in with the rest of your garden setting. All you need is add a couple of cushions and patio umbrellas to bring your entire garden to life this summer.

And let's not forget the fact that they can easily withstand any harsh weather conditions, so they can be left in place when a strong rain is about to come pouring down the skies. If you do want to have them for many years to come though it is advised to cover them when you know it will rain, however if you don't, nothing bad will happen to them.

When you are shopping for wicker furniture, see if you can find factory-assembled ones as they are quite strong and durable. If you want to assemble the furniture yourself, you can put it together, but it's easier if you already know what you're doing. Luckily once you have it all set up in your backyard, there is hardly any maintenance to do except wiping off the pieces now and then with a damp cloth and washing the frames and cushions once or twice a year for extra cleaning.
