You have to stick with it and when you do treat yourself with a special food or take an exercise break, simply get right back on track afterwards. Don't make excuses for yourself. If you drop the ball on the exercise or your diet, your weight loss goals will be much slower in coming.

2. There are many choices in food but not all of them are good for the body and can help in the quest to rapidly lose weight. Choose protein-rich foods because they boost the metabolism and they enable the body to rapidly burn fat. Aside from burning fat, protein-rich foods helps rebuild the muscles after workouts and maintain the leanness of muscles.

3. Start eating low cholesterol and healthy foods. In order to lose weight easy, it is important to eat foods that are healthy. Try not to eat foods that are high in cholesterol or that contain a lot fat. You can still eat your favorite foods, but make sure that it does have cholesterol beyond that your doctor recommends.

4. Your metabolism will settle down and begin running slowly if you exercise and/or eat the same way all the time. So, switch up your exercise routines at least every 2 weeks, and shift your calorie intake and the type of nutrients you eat each day to prevent your metabolism from decreasing. This will not just keep it from settling down, it will actually cause it to reach the maximum peak for rapid weight loss.

5. Once you are familiar with what you eat, how much you eat and when, it is easier to make the necessary changes. Maybe you need to chew gum to avoid snacking as you prepare supper or make a firm rule to not eat after 7pm. Maybe you need to cut out certain things altogether. Sometimes just making a few adjustments in your eating will be enough to shed those unwanted pounds. However, more often than not, it takes more than just diet.

6. Perform exercises that enable you to lose a lot of body fat. You can start losing weight fast if you cardiovascular exercises; jogging and swimming are great cardiovascular exercises. If your body is not fit to jog or run, try to walk instead at a steady pace. Walking actually helps lose weight over time. However, you should avoid engaging in marathon workouts because you will end up with a battered body. Just like in eating, you can divide the exercises and workout sessions into many sessions in a day.
