According to the estimates of some studies, up to 80% of women wear the wrong bra size. Wearing a bra that is too small can be uncomfortable and even cause skin rashes, but wearing a well-fitting bra can make you look AND feel better.
Check out these four simple steps to find your correct bra size in minutes.
1. Start by measuring under your bust line. Use a measuring tape and be sure that the tape goes straight across your back and pulled snuggly. Round your measurement to the nearest inch if you do not get a whole number.
2. The second step is use the measurement from step 1 to calculate your band size. If the measurement you ended up with was less than 33 inches add 5 inches and then round down to the nearest even number. If your measurement resulted in a number over 33 inches you should add 3 inches and, if that sum is odd, round up to the nearest even number. This number is your band size.
3. Find your over-the-bust measurement by wrapping the measuring tape around the largest part of your bust. Though this measurment may be a "loose measurement," still be sure that the tape goes straight across your back.
4. Finally, to calculate your cup size you simply subtract your under-the-bust measurement from your over-the-bust measurement (Step 3 Step 1= Step 4). If your over-bust is 0" larger than your under-bust your cup size is AA, 1" larger is an A, 2" larger is a B, 3" larger is a C, 4" larger is a D, 5" larger is a DD and 6" larger is an F.
