God's law or human law! Which one do you choose?

Philosophically, God is an internal or external finality. He is the one who ordains things. He is the Law giver. His law can be compared and contrasted with human law.

For the law of man leads to satisfy the wishes of human beings and thus leads to evil and not to ultimate good. But the law of God, exemplified in his scriptures leads to the good of man since it is prescribed with the ultimate goal of man's own existence. Human law, exemplified in constitutions, civil law and criminal law, lead to the interest of a specific society or serves the interests of one class, one part or one clique rulers. But the law of God serves humanity in the most absolute sense.

Human law is confined to this life. God's law serves this life in view the second eternal life. Human law does not identify man with his own natural impulses and the impulse of his mind and reason. It serves the whimsical desires of humans. God's law serves the reason of God and hence is congruent with man's own ultimate goal in life, to believe and how to believe in God.

Human law forces humans to abide by its prescriptions in view of this world and how to deal with the affairs of this world. God's law makes humans aware of the All Mighty God who has created them and prescribes His in favor of all humans. Human law serves at best the jungle law while God's law serves the objective of man's own existence. The Human law serves this world and the law of God serves the other life.

Human law makes humans obey humans and God's law makes humans obey God. Human law does not provide any rewards for abiding by its precepts, but God's law offers humans a great reward in this world as well as in the hereafter. Human law does not earn humans eternal felicity but God's law is founded on this promise of God who rewards those who abide by His law salvation and kingdom of heaven.

Human law is at best short sighted for it is made by humans for humans. God's law is ultimate in its vision and takes care of humans in this life and in the hereafter as guidance and giver of glad tidings.

Human law does not protect humans from the God's wrath while God's law is the only one that protects man from the wrath of God. Human law defines justice in terms of humans. This can be injustice in the most part of cases. While on the other hand God's law administers justice in its absolute term.

Human does not make any provision for the hereafter. God's law makes all provision for the hereafter. Human law is short sighted and full of short comings for it is made by humans. God's law is ultimate in its purpose and has no short comings for it is issued by the maker of humans and is hence congruent with human purpose.

Human law is full of errors and is subject to change, while God's law is permanent, eternal and never subject to change. Human law is specific and locally applied, while God's law is universal and applies to all humans in all societies. Human law is submitted to the will of a clique of people or even one society or another. God' law expresses the will of God, creator of humans and societies.

Human law varies from one society to another, from one state to another, from country to another, and varies from one epoch to another, from one place to another. While God's law applies to all societies, any time and in every place.

Human law is congruent with human motivations and human purposes, while God's law is congruent with God's will and God's purpose.

So choose for yourself which law you want to abide by!
