Where Is the Loving Church Jesus Desired and Whose Foundations He Constructed

To love God is not predicated by adherence and affinity through any particular religion, thus one may ask why religions are so dogmatic. Time in history is irrelevant when it comes to abuse within religions and it would appear the past has not been a teacher to the present or perhaps religious leaders are obstinate students.

Imagine a monk beaten, battered and tortured to such a degree that he died from his wounds. Imagine too that he was not a heretic in the strictest sense of the term but rather believed in positive reform towards the message of Jesus. Imagine this monk kneeling down on the floor surrounded by walking monks who took it in turn to whip him towards acknowledging his crime.

Imagine kids, teenagers and young women going to school, living and or working in any village or town in Ireland unaware of the fate of friends who were snatched up, and confined to the rigors of monastic life. Unlike the nuns who voluntarily joined this order the young women were there by force and all because they may have shown signs of independent thought and behaviours. Adding salt to the wounds of injustice, they were forced into slavery working in brutal conditions in a laundry and all under the supposed patronage of religious orders.

Imagine a young teenage girl walking home from school in Chechnya suddenly noticing a car stopping beside her, a man jumps out to grab her, and forces her into it then because of his religion forces her to marry him. The worst part of this is the apparent acceptance within Chechnya that this is normally acceptable behaviour within the regions.

To this day somewhere around the world, others are also being tortured because they believe in positive reform or have independent thought. The Catholic Church or Islam are not alone with this mentality as all religions suffer indignities by a few supremacists or stark fundamentalists devoid of any strain of the love Jesus mentioned in the gospels.

Where is the love Jesus spoke of and urged us to promote not just out of adherence to him or his father but because it is the appropriate thing to do? It is presumably but impossible to believe that Jesus was ever on this earth when focus centralizes its efforts on profit. Raising funds versus raising souls towards a higher consciousness of God's unconditional love on earth, not to mention heaven, is more attractive.

Human trafficking: this disease on society is growing in leaps and bounds where one hundred years ago the value of a slave was $40,000 but today is valued at $90 approximately. The difference is the amount of money to be made per dollar spent and the majority of today's slaves go to forced unpaid prostitution. They are then discarded liberally because of the unlimited supply of available resources.

If the majority of our world populations are related somehow with religious adherence, it is difficult to understand how this industry could be growing because there should not be enough clients to substantiate its existence. Yet the proof is in the pudding and one point two million children are trafficked every year through this growing industry.

Abuse: one would imagine that by 2011, self-esteem programs would be evident in every school in the world and awareness of brutish behaviours would prevent their presence in all sections of community. The vast majority of police calls in any major city or town across the globe are primarily domestic abuse situations and this would not be so if we were in tune with our soul.

The question needs to be asked once more, where is the love Jesus spoke of and urged us to promote as a basis of two commandments that are not that difficult to understand. The first is to love honour and cherish God and the second is to love one another. How simpler could his request be, but somehow we manage to mismanage even the simplest of requests?

Above are a few signs seeking adjustments throughout our world so let us join hands across the globe and fight a disease that is forcing our civilisation into primitive realms preventing our advance towards harmonious living. God bless!
