With the ouster of Ryan Diaz (due to training injuries) on the April 2 2002 URCC colission card at the World Trade Center in Pasay city Philippines, Belingin will face Dealrmino Instead. Not as exciting a prospect as fighting Diaz, (who has a huge amount of experience behind him with 27 MMA fights int he USA) Delarmino however presents a tactical conundrum for Belingon
Belingon , the current Champ, has been training for a fighter well schooled in the ground game, while Delarmiino is an out and out slugger, who uses his strength and conditioning to get to the upright position and whale away at his oponnents.
Having said that, it is still a hugely interesting fight as delarmino is one of those dark horses who could really pull of an upset.
THE UNDER CARD
Morikawa x Rafols
HIdeo "death from Tokyo" Morikawa is a powerfully built japanese Kyokushin fighter with a fearsome array of weapons at his disposal - one body part that has caused huge problems for the craniums of his opponenets , is morikawas titanium patella, which has been dissecting the gourds of those who have faced him.
Rafols is coming of that one loss to Docyogen, but has looked very impressive in the last three foghts that he won. He's a ground and punder kinda guy, and its not going to be a cheap evening for morikawa either.
Note to Rafols: Elbows are now allowed at the URCC
Mangguray x Banario
The ageless legend of mangurray "the saint" continues- will his "kuhrottee" stuff work against Banario? Mangurray has steam rolled past his opponents here and abroad, and it looks like father time has not caught up wiyth him yet - the man still has a lot of sand left in him and Banaroo better bring his best game if he wants to finish the fight still in a concious state
Docyogen x Ramirez
Alvin "the Kid" Ramirez, upcoming savage finsiher form yawyan, going against the liongest reigning URCC champion, will it be a repeat of the classic "humdinger" we had last year?
yes - if you can only watch one URCC fight this year, then save your money for this one.
