Learn How To Stop Sweaty Feet

Many people have a problem with smelly feet and look for ways to stop sweaty feet. Some people find that even directly after bathing, they can actually smell the odor. This can certainly be a very embarrassing problem and can even make the sufferer feel that they do not want to remove their shoes in public. Lots of people also suffer from excessive underarm and palms perspiration as well. Wearing open shoes or sandals is the key, although it is not always feasible. Keeping your feet clean is one of the best cures to deter the problem. Washing your feet a minimum of once or twice a day is desirable. Always make sure your feet are bathed every morning. This should be completed after breakfast, or before getting dressed. When showering or bathing make sure the water is not overly hot. Your whole foot should be scrubbed with a massage sponge, this type of sponge has a spongy surface one side and a rough abrasive as well. The abrasive part should be used to scrub the soles, paying particular attention between the toes. After bathing, a soft clean towel should be used to fully dry the feet. Always check that there is no dampness in between the toes. Creams especially formulated for this perspiration problem are available and can be used as well along with special athlete foot powders which help absorb wetness. Special foot sprays are also available for people with foot odor problems. These sprays are refreshing to use, especially after bathing, although they can also be used throughout the day. Shoes are an important factor. Never walk about in tennis shoes all day, they are well known to cause problems. Tennis shoes and other athletic type shoes are ideal for running or going for a walk, they are a sports shoe and should be used as such. Always make sure shoes are replaced at least twice a year. Leather shoes with leather insoles are considered more breathable. For some people who only have one pair of shoe they enjoy wearing, sprays for the insides are available. They can be purchased from pharmacies, drug stores, and supermarkets. A clean insole is very favorable, so cleaning the insole now and again will help immensely. Insoles can be replaced either with leather but preferably charcoal ones. Foam insoles should be avoided. To stop or lessen odor it is always best to pay attention to a good daily hygiene regime. If good hygiene is adhered to and sensible shoes are worn and there still seems a problem, then a visit to a doctor could be necessary to determine if a medical problem exists.
