I am having the
Thinkpad Advanced Mini Dock Problems
similar problem on my T61 with Advanced Mini-Dock. The rear USB ports entirely move dead after re-docking and arising from the hibernate. I installed the latest BIOS that helped *a little* but has not resolved the problem. There is a Vista registry resolve to correct USB detection on resume from hibernate but this will not let you execute the resolve within the XP SP2.
If someone are aware about the Registry keys being edited and I would be willing to try this on my XP installastion . Doing some digging around it shows this is a large issues with this notebook in the Linux community. After resume it occurrs the kernel panics or interrupt storms. Some sort of IRQ conflict within the Nvidia graphics driver and the USB bus. Any insight from the Lenovo folks on this issue ??I am having the similar problem on my T61 with Advanced Mini-Dock.
