I believe you have found the right page if you are looking for TAG Aquaracer review before deciding to purchase it.
This review has been rewritten from the original review by Mark E from Las Vegas, Nevada. The review is specifically about Silver TAG Heuer Aquaracer WAF1112.BA0801 Watch.
Over the last few years his daily watch has been a Seiko Chronograph Watch. While there is nothing wrong with that, he decided he wanted something a little more stylish one. First, he bought a Seiko Coutura, but not satisfied with it. He decided to spend a little bit more, so he think $1000 is just nice to spend for a more stylish everyday watch, though a cheaper one around $500 is probably more suitable as a 'not luxury' utility watch.
He look at Tissot, which is probably the best option for the price, also Movado, Bulova, and a few others, but really fall in love with the style of TAG Aquaracer. He chose this model because it is simple but elegant and practical. A chronograph is also good, but every model he have seen are too big for his hand. While this model is of medium size, not too big or heavy. Just nice.
In general he give this watch a 5 star, but for those interested in purchasing this watch, he has noted a few things as part of the TAG Aquaracer review:
1. If your vision is somewhat not perfect or you are often in low light areas, the watch may be a bit difficult to see.
2. The dial and date are rather small, and the color of your hand hand can mix into the background. He is aware of this before buying it, but mention it only for those considering an online purchase.
3. Both versions of the clock face with black or blue color is much easier to read, but he likes the look of silver face. He think if TAG put the label of black trim around the hand it will look a little better, but maybe that would make the watch look tacky, maybe. That said, you would have absolutely no problem whatsoever reading the watch in the office, outdoors, or nearly 90% of the time.
4. Another issue is the value of the brand recognition compared to other brands labeled as "luxury." He looked closer at Bulova Tissot and others, and overall quality looks comparable. Although he is not a watchmaker however from his observation quartz movement of TAG watch is quite consistent. Unlike some more expensive mechanical watches and frankly speaking, he thinks it's pretty clear that there is a fairly an expensive pay for a premium brand recognition in the purchase of a TAG Heuer. It is worth the money.
