But is this the total truth of credit repair and the companies that claim they can help you improve your ever so important Equifax, Transunion and Experian Credit Files!?
I think that anyone that might have issues with their rating should pay close attention to what I am about to write about in this article. The first and main question is this; "Is it possible to improve a poor credit rating? The answer is YES! And I want anyone that disagrees with this to please look up my contact information and send me an email to let me know why they think otherwise.
Second question; "can a so-called credit repair company do this for me?" Again the answer is YES! But what is very important to note here is that YOU CAN do the same thing a repair firm can do on your own. So are credit repair companies a bunch of liars??
I think the issue with these companies is that they stretch the truth. Every consumer has the right to dispute any account on their report that they believe to be inaccurate, incorrect or misleading. The three main bureaus must launch an investigation into the account for proper verification that the account is accurate.
The bureaus have 30days to complete their investigation, and if they cannot do so the account must be deleted. Now it doesn't end here. IF the proper verification comes after the account has been deleted then the bureaus have the right to reinsert the account into your file BUT the KEYWORD to remember here is PROPER VERIFICATION.
A creditor simply saying that an account is verified doesn't make it verified. What proof does that creditor have that the account was not opened by someone that stole your identity or a case of mistaken identity.
I advise using a credit repair firm that is also a law advocate. I have included more information about such a company when you click on the "Credit Repair Services" link below.
