My childhood days, was very boring as others would look at. I was very shy and timid and inferiority complex was a lot bigger than my whole being. As a result, I've got the fewest number of friends in the school and in the neighborhood if I'm lucky to have. As a defense I pretended to be snob so they would not come to me. I became more quiet and unsure of myself. There was no club that I was a member of. It's either they don't want to accept me believing that I could not contribute anything or I don't want to join because of less or no confidence at all.
One day during college days it was an ordinary sports fest week for every student. I never knew that it will be the start of great transformation in my life. The class representative for marathon got sick; our section will be eliminated by default so the class president asked anybody who could run. Wanted to humiliate me, they forced me to run. To everyone's surprise, I won the first prize. It gave me wonderful feeling becoming an instant celebrity in the campus. Believe me, what happened instantly bloomed my self confidence and changed how I perceive others. It brought out a new attitude in me. It made me proud of myself and became adventurous. Elevated from the said experience, I decided to come out from my shell and started to entertain new friends and later on joined a group of students who do extreme sports.
We travel from places to places when doing our extreme activities, so we look for and avail vacation travel deals from different agencies so as to save money.
As an extreme sport fanatic and a newly found adventurist my dream is to experience rock climbing in Canadian Rocky Mountains which is very famous among Rocky Mountains around the world. According to some acquaintance who was once there, the extra special feeling that would fill your heart when climbing that mountain cannot be explained by plain words so it's better to do it your own than to hear stories.
In one of the extreme sports showcase contest, we won a great deal of a prize, a vacation travel deals which is not only discounted but paid by the organizer for the whole group. What it made more special is the destination. We are going to Canadian Rocky Mountains free of charge plus a hefty sum as pocket money. That is what reward means!
As I look back, I couldn't help but laugh. The planned embarrassing moment when they forced me to run in the absence of the section representative turned into a triumphant transformation of the old timid, shy and with no confidence low-less creature into a victorious extreme adventurist who is enjoying life to its fullest, was given the great opportunity to take pleasure in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and enjoy the wonderful nature that God has given us.
