What Are the Most Popular, Best Selling iPhone Clones?

I began covering the iPhone clones around last Christmas, when the P168 made such a splash. I like to discover, research, and use these replicas, and then report back everything that I liked or didn't like about each model. Here is a list of which, in my opinion, are currently the best selling iPhone clones. All of these all loaded with the ability to surf the web, email and text, listen to and watch MP3s and MP4s, take photo and video on the built in camera, enjoy Bluetooth and / or FM radio, and e-book readers. They vary in price, but most are under $150.

The CECT P168: This was the original, but most people still consider it the best. CECT unlocked this phone, added additional surround sound speakers, allowed us to remove the battery ourselves, choose our own carrier, and added an additional sim card so that we could have two numbers on one phone. Now that this phone is mainstream, there is every accessory and extra you could possibly want for it, as well as all the user guides that you'd ever need. Even though its an import, there's lots of support available in many languages. This one was never a shake and tilt phone. (These came later). The price has come down over time making this phone very reasonably priced, sometimes under $100.

HiPhone A88: There are many shake and tilt models (like HiPhone i32, A380i, A8+) and all sell very well. The shake and tilt feature means that you can change music and media by shaking the phone and change video to wide screen by tilting it. The A88 is popular because it has a radio and e-book reader, which is very useful with all of the PDF documents today.

SciPhone 168: If I had to pick the current most popular shake and tilt model, I would say the SciPhone. The iClone P168 is the most popular over all, but of the shake and tilts, this one takes it. It's sometimes called the "mini HiPhone," because it is smaller and sleeker than previous models. One huge thing about this knock off is that it has the latest edition of Java which allows for tons of gaming / productivity applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. It's also quad band.

T32: For people who want their mobile phone loaded with every possible feature, the T32 is worth a look. It's the first clone to have Windows Mobile, GPS, and WiFi all in one phone. Sometimes called the Daxian X999, this one has been selling very well despite the fact that it's the most expensive of the clones, somewhere in the $200 and up range.

S688: I'm sometimes a bit surprised this one is included, but it is. I believe this to be a best seller simply because it's the fastest model. This one is only single sim, does not have shake and tilt, and is a bit smaller in size. But people seem to get really excited about its slightly faster performance.

LHO1: This one is a lot like the SciPhone in that it's a shake and tilt that's smaller than the others, but it also has an e-book reader and a sharper camera (SciPhone has a 1.3 MP, and LH01 has 2.0 MP). It's also a tad bit less expensive than the other minis.

CECT P168 Quad Band: The CECT P168 was considered almost perfect, except by folks whose network used the 850 band. Some regions of AT&T are on this band as well as a few others. So, CECT rolled out a quad band version of the P168 so that all GSM users could enjoy the phone. Other than being quad band, the phone differs slightly in that it added a webcam and an e-book reader. The price never really rose too much and the tri and quad band versions of the 168 are still similarly priced today.
