I have observed so many chickens just walking around the yard and not even daring to fly out of it, they merely stay without fear. There are some owners who do not like the thought of cooping their chickens until they die, so they really build chicken coops with chicken runs beside them. The chicks can run along it and acquire the taste of freedom in addition to get shelter if they need them. Eventually, they get used to the area and also the owner can now take them out for the coop without fear that they might fly off.
