I am afraid that my teacher are already far from me. Although we would still get to see each other every day, I am still sad that I never really have that special bond with them. More often, they would usually spend their free time with his friends and if ever they are at home, they are always in front of the computer. It pains me that I only get to see my children when we are about to eat. I could hardly talk to them.
I already miss my children and the days when they are all too dependent on me. The days when they would normally cry for my name each time they need something. I am their knight and shining armor, their superhero. I also missed it when we would spend quality time together. I felt that I don't know my children any more. However, my prayers are answered last night.
It was one Sunday afternoon when, surprisingly, all of them came up to me with art materials on hand. They are asking me if they could ask help for their card making project. Apparently, there is a card making contest in school and all of them would join. When we are brainstorming for the kind of card that we would make, we would share a laugh or two. Some of them would even freely share some of their experiences in school. It was really a very heartwarming activity. I did not only spend some time with them but I also get to know them better.
Although they would not tell me who is the lucky recipient of the card, I didn't feel bad anyhow. At least, I get to bond and talk to them again. It was indeed very impressive; I never thought that could have inherited my card making genes. Everyone worked on their cards carefully. Their card making project was all labor of love, I must say.
Their card making project was already finished in barely an hour and we were so happy. They told me that that card making is really easy if you are doing it with others. I gave them some time to write the personal message and told them that his card is good to go.
The next day, I was surprised when they handed me the card and kissed me. Apparently, the card is for me since it was mother's day that day. I am deeply moved with my children's kindness. I never thought that I was able to raise such sweet and thoughtful children.
