subject: Who Is Using The Self Storage At Milton Keynes [print this page]

A new self storage centre has opened in Milton Keynes, but the question remains do we really need more self storage sites around the UK? I mean who is using these sites and what are they using them for? I had a look into self storage and thought I would find just what benefits if any it could bring to the town of Milton Keynes.

If there is a town in the UK that needs self storage then it is Milton Keynes. The town is developing at such a pace and the people living in it, live life in step with the pace of development. The town has a huge industrial sector which is constantly expanding and could certainly take advantage of a self storage centre in Milton Keynes.

The snow dome in the town attracts a number of visitors ever year, but what if you didn't have the space to store all of your snowboarding or skiing kit, if there was a self storage unit near Milton Keynes then it would be both useful and maybe cost effective to store your board, boots, clothes, goggles and everything else at the centre.

The town is also home to the National Bowl, which host a number of bands and events every year. These bands could benefit from using self storage within Milton Keynes for the duration of their stay, instead of dragging all their equipment around in Lorries they could transport sets up to Milton Keynes via train and then store it in the self storage facility until they are ready to move it.

The town is also home to the Red Bull Formula One racing team, who have a large amount of equipment that needs to be stored. The team have just come off the back of their most successful season to date, with Sebastian Vettel currently sitting in second place in the Championship with one race to go. With the amount of carbon fibre products that the team manufacturers and makes over the year, surely they could benefit from self storage space in Milton Keynes.

Self storage space can help to keep places tidy, organised and efficient, so maybe my initial opinion about all these self storage centres that have started to pop up over the country was wrong. At the end of the day, if there was no demand for them then the company wouldn't have the money to be able to open more, so the business plan is going right somewhere.
