This summer with two new British-built cars and an all-new look for the brand, the famous MG marque will take to the UK roads in style. Just two months after the Fastback model hit the showrooms, the company MG has brought forward the launch of the new MG6 sports saloon to July 2011.

First there is an image to rebuild, so the company has employed film director Ridley Scott's production company to make a brand new film from which a TV ad will be spun off and MG Sittingbourne as well as other dealers will be provided with the company's new signage, the famous octagonal MG badge set on a new red background. MG are hoping that the new look of the brand will attract the customers.

The MG6 Sport saloon will be assembled alongside the MG6 Fastback at the old Rover plant at Longbridge, where Guy Jones said that the Chinese owner SAIC has invested around 45 million ahead of the MG re-launch, the price of the new MG6 Sport Saloon will be between 17,000 to 20,000.

Guy Jones, MG sales and marketing chief, said: "We received really good feedback from our market research on the saloon which is perceived as a prestigious sports model. There is a very high level of interest in the car so we have brought forward the launch by a few months. We can do this, we have seen other iconic British brands resurrected over the past few years and the same will be done with MG."Guy Jones, MG sales and marketing chief, said: "We received really good feedback from our market research on the saloon which is perceived as a prestigious sports model.
