If you are looking into the possibility of visiting Kenya, Africa in search of the ultimate scenery, wildlife and adventure vacation in the near future, then you must be wondering which sights really are the best for you to add to your itinerary. Fortunately, I have put together this list of the country's greatest scenery and safari locations so that you can be given a brief insight to see if it appeals to you.

I will begin with the Masai Mara, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world! This Northern extension of Tanzania's Serengeti is well renowned for its high densities of wildlife which include the Big Five made up of lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and cape buffalo. This park is made extra special due to its role played in the great African wildebeest migration. This natural phenomenon will allow you to witness the traveling of a million strong herd of wildebeest making their way from the Serengeti, towards the Masai Mara plains, seeking fresh grazing patches.Next on the list is Mount Kenya. This Mountain stands at around 5,199 Meters high and is the perfect place to visit for any budding mountain climbers or hikers out there. The summit can usually be reached within 3-5 days depending on which route is being taken. The view from the top of the mountain is truly remarkable, but there is also lots to see while on the ascend, as you make your way through the 5 different ecosystems which line the mountain

For those with a keen interest in aquatic activities, a trip to Lake Victoria may be in order! It is the largest fresh water lake in the world, and whilst there you can participate in activities such as boat trips, fishing with local fishermen and water bound safaris. On the latter, you will find yourself face to face with many different birds and animals that inhabit the lake and its surrounding area, this really is a special sight to see great wildlife in its unspoiled, natural habitat.

Another lake which interests people for a different reason is Lake Nakuru. This rift valley lake is renowned for its beauty and high densities of bird life. The most spectacular bird sight to witness in Lake Nakuru is the huge population of over 1.5 million flamingo that line the shores of the lake and feast upon the algae that grows there. Many people who visit the lake are astounded by how many flamingo there actually are, and get the impression that they are seeing pink water! As well as bird life, the lake features many African safari animals, but is mostly known for spotting of the rhino, as this park features a high population of these horned creatures, with around 40 white rhino and 60 black rhino which roam the area.ildebeest making their way from the Serengeti, towards the Masai Mara plains, seeking fresh grazing patches.
