The rankings might not reflect them as the world's top two players, but golf fans will get their dream pairing when the WGC-Cadillac Championship begins Thursday at the Doral Resort and Spa near Miami.
Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will be paired together for at least the first two rounds.
The WGC-Cadillac Championship is one of the four annual World Golf Championships tournaments for male professional golfers. It is sanctioned and organized by the International Federation of PGA Tours and the prize money is official money on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. From 1999 through 2006 it was known as the WGC-American Express Championship and was held during October. From 2007 to 2010, it was known as the WGC-CA Championship. Since 2007 it takes place in March. After the 2010 event, CA Inc.announced that they would not renew their sponsorship of the tournament.[1] It was announced on November 29, 2010 that Cadillac would be the new sponsor in a multi-year sponsorship deal.
During its first eight years, the event was played at different locations in the United States and Europe. Since 2007 it has been played annually on the TPC Blue Monster course at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa, in Doral, Florida. Doral was previously the site of the tournament the Cadillac Championship replaced on the PGA Tour schedule, the Ford Championship at Doral. Tiger Woods has won the event six times out of its eleven stagings.
Want to Pay a Low Price? Of Course. Titleist AP2 Iron Set - Cheap! $354.99
Titleist AP2 irons provide a comfortable and confidence-inspiring appearance in the set up position with a traditional blade profile and hosel junction. The metallic back cavity plate contributes to the AP2's great looks and bag appeal.
Features:
Multi-material, dual cavity, technically forged
Advanced performance with a traditional solid feel and looks
provide shot control for the skilled player handicap 5-9
I was nervous about buying the Titleist AP2 irons since I am a once a week golfer who shoots in the low 80's. They are nice and heavy and have helped me slow my hands down, what was once a 10 yard draw is now a 10 foot draw! They are more forgiving than other "player's" irons that I have tried (Ping G10, Mizuno MP52, Callaway X Forged). If you're like me and you werent sure if you could hit these because you see guys on Tour hitting them just go for it, you wont be sorry! By the way, the best online shop to buy cheap golf clubs, I recomend golfwholesaleshop.com, they also retails golf clubs.
