Mercedes Benz India launched the G-Wagen or the Gelndewagen in India on the Valentine's Day. The country would be getting the top model in the G-Class the G 55 AMG. The car is powered by a supercharged 5.5-litre V8-engine developing 373 kW/507 hp and a maximum torque of 700 newton metres (Nm). The G 55 AMG breaks the 100 km/h mark in 5.5 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h. Features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Start Assist help make the G 55 AMG an easy to handle and comfortable to drive car. It comes with a permanent all-wheel drive with three locking differentials, a 5-speed automatic transmission and high performance ventilated disc brakes. The G55 AMG will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) and will cost a whopping Rs 1.1 crore.

Exterior Features:

The New Cars has a mammoth presence on the road and its radiator grille with the three-pointed star makes it stand out immediately. The car's body coloured bumpers and flared AMG wings add to its grandeur. The new high-gloss titanium grey 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a five-spoke enhance the car's brawny character. The G Wagon has 9.5 inches, 275/55 R 19 tyres. Stainless steel running board on each side, two oval, chrome-plated twin tailpipes also boost the G Wagon's look.

Interior Look:

The G 55 AMG not just a good looker on the outside the car has excellent interior styling. A roof lining in anthracite Alcantara and a designo leather come as standard features with silver-coloured designo emblems on the front seat backrests. The colour scheme is matched by the designo wood trim and the wood/leather steering wheel and selector lever with G 55 lettering. The car also has a latest-generation COMAND APS Mercedes telematics, reversing camera and rear seat entertainment as standard.
