How To Lose Baby Belly Fat for women

Most women have a difficult time losing weight after they give birth. Women gain about 20 to 30 pounds in a span of nine months. If you are like most new moms, the stomach area needs the most work. So is it possible to lose baby belly fat? Like the saying goes, anything is possible with hard work.

Once you have fully recovered from having your baby, you can ask your doctor if it is safe for you to start an exercise program. If you get the go signal, you will then have to determine if you have enough time away from your baby to enroll at a gym or join a dance class, or anything that will keep you active. If you do not have a set time in the day where you are free then you will need to be creative. There are many exercises to lose baby belly fat that can be done at home.

No matter what area of your body you are trying to tone, cardio exercises are a must. However, do not burn yourself out. Cardio can mean a brisk 20-minute walk in your neighborhood with your baby in a stroller. Start at a decent pace then move up to jogging and if you are still up for it you can then advance to running. After you have gotten in your cardio for the day, it is then time to tackle those exercises that are aimed at strengthening your stomach muscles. Crunches are the most popular. These are not very fun but what is great about them is that even after 5 crunches you will be able to feel the burn in your mid section. There are various ways to execute these crunches from having your hands placed behind your neck to lifting each knee toward your elbow each time you come up for a crunch.

Aside from exercise, a healthy diet helps to lose baby belly fat. Cutting out carbohydrates such as rice and pasta are quick fixes to getting a beach worthy stomach. With the right diet and a strong commitment to stay active that belly fat will be gone in no time.
