Three tried and true methods of fertility make it easy to identify the best day to start a pregnancy. These three processes are natural approaches to detecting a woman's level of fertility. To date, there are three things that are used to observe the level of fertility in a woman. These are the cervical fluid, the cervix itself, and the body's basal temperature.
Naturally monitoring the fertility level requires a woman to get up close and personal with her vaginal secretions. The vaginal secretion needed to monitor fertility is the cervical mucus. Cervical mucus is generated throughout the entire month. However, right at the moment when the female's menstruation starts this natural secretion is produced in substantially greater quantities. When a woman's menstrual cycle is over, the level of cervical mucus reduces dramatically. In fact, some women complain of vaginal dryness during this time.
When getting acquainted with the cervical mucus, every female should know that its normal appearance is opaque and dense. It becomes thin, transparent, and rather slimy. Visually, it's a twin to egg white. For the purpose of monitoring the actual fertility level, this is what should be seen when a woman's most fertile level has been achieved.
This is actually a rather personal test that every woman can do. In fact, it is recommended so that she can become personally acquainted with the different changes as they occur. A wiping motion is done to properly achieve this vaginal secretion test. With thoroughly cleansed hands, a finger is inserted into the vagina's opening and the cervical mucus is collected. The objective of this test is to pay attention to the color, consistency, and elasticity of the cervical mucus. Having collected the cervical mucus, a female needs to observe its color and squeeze the mucus between her fingers, then stretch the fingers apart. This is done to see if the mucus will snap into two. If it is clear and doesn't break, this is an ideal fertile time for the female.
The second process of naturally monitoring a female's fertility level is by tracking the position of the cervix. A not too common fact about the female body is that the cervix actually changes position throughout the month. Most women find it convenient to start this type of monitoring as soon as they have finished their menstrual cycle.
The natural process of movement for the cervix is from low to high. Hence, when the cervix is noticeably higher, ovulation is about to begin. The middle finger is used to check the cervix, through a simple insertion. Thankfully, a complex map is not need to navigate around the vagina. Just feel for the only long cylinder in the vicinity.
The third process of monitoring natural fertility is through the body's basal temperature. The body's basal temperature or BBT is a reliable way of monitoring a woman's level of fertility. Officially, the BBT is the normal daily temperature level of the human body. Any change in this temperature has implications of fertility. The basal temperature has an established monthly pattern for women. It is generally lower right at the start of the monthly cycle. However, as the female approaches the actual day of ovulation, this temperature begins to rise. This baseline temperature usually stays elevated during the actual menstrual cycle. However, if a successful conception is achieved, it will stay elevated.
Checking the body's basal temperature should be the first priority of every day, literally. As a result, the BBT should already have been checked before her feet touch the ground first thing in the morning. A standard oral thermometer is sufficient. When checking BBT, try to do nothing else. Merely sipping a glass of water can distort the BBT reading. Daily temperatures should be recorded consistently. This is the only way to be able to determine a credible pattern in a female's cycle and accurately determine the most fertile time.
All three of these natural fertility monitors have been proven successful on their own. However, it has also been proven that a rich cocktail of these three processes is a potent recipe for success. The more personal a female gets with her body the more likely she is able to detect these imminent and necessary changes to ensure conception. These up close and personal techniques are time tested ways of finding out just how fertile a woman may be.
