Tattoo Designs For Me Showcasing The Octopus

Before you choose what image to place on your body it goes unsaid to be sure you can live with it for the rest of your life.

Remember, a tattoo is permanent and would be very costly and painful to try to remove it. First and most important is to decide on what images would showcase your personality the best and give the world a hint of what you stand for. For many people, the sea offers many possibilities with whales, sharks, dolphins or maybe an octopus like the one in Moby Dick. This creature is very intelligent and moves through the water with much ease and causes people to fear and admire at the same time.

Some people think the octopus and the squid are the same thing.

Unlike the octopus the squid has the ability to swim at extremely high speeds taking it to safety when in danger and is surrounded with legends that are probably only partially true, but still we are not sure. This creature is able to blend in with its surroundings in such a way its enemies can not see him. With no bone structure to limit his options, it can bend and escape through openings too small for its pursuers. Adding to the mystery is its ability to regrow lost limbs should one be lost, inspiring much talk and folk tales over the years.

When creating a picture of the octopus, the artist must pay particular attention to the beast's large tentacles.

These arms, if you will, create many thoughts and bad images to the average person since we always picture a live person being trapped in them. But, it is this very fear that attracts us back to this creature time after time. Since we can not move this tattoo to another location after it has been inked on our body, we need to give its location some serious thought first before proceeding.

Be sure you like what you see and would be content with its location. Perhaps like the octopus grabs its victims around the arms, you might want to showcase your work of art in the same place, but you decide for yourself. The actual picture created does not have to be just a copy of a photo, perhaps the artist can use his imagination and include other symbols of the sea into his work.

Some artists showcase this creature as if it was coming from outer space or perhaps some other earthly monster attacking us with large teeth. Be careful your artist does not go to any extremes in the above illustration. Maybe another direction would be to make the creature a funny character with bright colors with over sized heads and under sized arms topped off with a big grin on its face.

Let's face it, the octopus offers a lot more possibilities than most other choices and can be very impressive to all your coworkers ans relatives.
