How Reducing Stress Can Help Solve Your Premature Ejaculation Problems

It's very easy to understand why problems with sexual performance can make you stressed. There's a lot of pressure to perform and if this performance starts to falter, you'll begin to worry. It's particularly frustrating when you can't understand why it's happening and you may begin to feel like a victim.

Stress about whether or not you're going to be able to perform will then have an effect in the bedroom and will become a vicious cycle. It may get to the point where you may even begin avoiding any sexual situations in case of failure and disappointment, leading to problems within your relationship.

You may find that stressing about your premature ejaculation problems may overspill into your outside life too. When you're unable to perform sexually, your self esteem can take a battering and can quickly lead to depression, insomnia, irritability and more stress. You may find your work begins to suffer too. Relationships may become strained as men tend to isolate themselves when faced with problems. You might find that you don't want to go out and socialise, preferring to stay at home, safe in the knowledge that you're away from the pressures of any sexual contact.

So How Can I Reduce Stress?

There are several ways you can reduce your stress and begin to regain control during intercourse. The first and easiest of these is to start practicing some simple breathing exercises. During sex, or masturbation, take a few deep breaths, focusing just on your breathing. This will help keep you calm and you'll be able to continue. Practice this breathing in your everyday life too and see if this helps. If your partner is supportive, get her to help you.

Try to get out into the fresh air. This might sound trite but getting outside will help blow away some of the cobwebs and will help you get a good night's sleep if you've been having disturbed nights due to stress. Exercise always helps too and if your partner is willing, why not exercise together?

It may take some time and work to regain any long-lasting control over your premature ejaculation but if you persevere, you'll begin to see results and a reduction in your stress levels - both in and out of the bedroom.
