subject: What Is Islamic Racism? [print this page] What Is Islamic Racism? What Is Islamic Racism?
When people talk about Islamic racism, they are usually talking about those who disagree with Islam, talk about it being a religion of terror and also about the idea of zeroing in on those from the Middle East as terrorists. In the United States, people have to be very careful of how they speak less they be branded racist. Celebrities and others in the public eye who have uttered any words that are deemed to be racist have issued public apologies, had their careers ruined or been the subject of ridicule. People in the private sector can lose their jobs due to racist comments. However, Islamic Racism is something else.
It is impossible for apologists of the United States to believe than anyone other than a white man can be racist. Make that a white, Christian man. The idea of Islamic Racism and the fact that those who practice this religion can be racist towards those who do not is either swept under the carpet or not even comprehended by the average person. So is the idea of Islamic Supremacism, which sees those in Islam as being higher than others and more worthy of life in general. Because this train of thought goes against what everyone has been taught for the past fifty years or more, it is easier to ignore the problem than address it.
Those who want to witness Islamic Supremacism first hand can do so by frequenting stores run by Muslims that are in their own country, or if they can afford it, take a trip to the Middle East. There they can see Islamic Racism against themselves for the first time. Those who are the ultimate apologists can talk all they want about freedom and how wonderful Islam is and how the average American is so stupid that they cannot tolerate anything other than Christianity and will do so to deaf ears. This is because in Islamic Supremacism, those who are not Muslim do not count. This is how Islamic racism comes into play. Those who are not Muslim are not seen as equals by those who are.
It can be very difficult for people in a culture that bends over backwards making sure that everyone is treated equally to wrap their minds around a concept in which there are those, simply by the nature of their religious faith, will not accept this type of equality. Because they feel as though the way they have been taught to think is the right way to think they cannot grasp the idea of anyone who considers themselves to be above them because they are Muslim thinks This type of thought pattern can be very detrimental to any society as it is important not only to understand the reason for your own thoughts and what is behind them, but to take a realistic view of the world around you and understand the way that others think and operate, examples of which can be found all over the world. While no one wants to admit that such a thing as Muslim Supremacism even exists, it is clear that it does and can be witnessed in many places, including in western countries.
