The Previously unknown purpose of the "Ninth Cheveron" is revealed, and ends up taking a team to an Ancient ship "Destiny", a ship built millions of years ago by the Ancients, used to seed Distant galaxies with Stargates. This team, led by Dr. David Rush and Colonel Everett Young, are trapped on the ship, unable to change its programmed mission, and encounter new races, new technology and new enemies, as the runaway ship takes them to the far ends of the Universe.
The season premiere will wrap up the events of the 2-part first season finale, Incursion': Everett and the crew continue their efforts to save Destiny while holding off the Lucian Alliance invaders.When the crew's food and water situation become critical, Rush has no choice but to override the ship's controls and take them to a planet locked out of the navigation system. We're down to the final ten episodes of Stargate Universe (SGU). And, while this may have been one of the most ill-conceived cancellations on TV, we are still looking forward to the last few moments of the crew aboard Destiny.
Although most shows go on hiatus in March, SGU will be airing every Monday night with four new episodes: Deliverance Part 2, Twin Destinies, Alliances, and Hope. The final six episodes have not received an official air date yet.
In this clip, Dr. Rush (Robert Carlyle) checks on the team as they try to run a bypass through a section of the Destiny to boost power. Slow and steady seemed to be the right road until they pushed a little too far and the plan backfires. The team tries to assure Rush that it's just going to take more time.
