UAE, February 2011 - The Dusit Princess City Centre, which opened in 2010, is focusing its efforts on the corporate traveller as it aims to double its percentage of business travellers to the hotel this year.
"The corporate sector has been our target market since the opening. Now into our second year of operation we have established our name in the industry and can now look forward to pursuing what we originally set out to do and operate as a, largely, corporate hotel" said Nick Bauer the hotel's general manager.
The hotel has already increased the number of key account executives in their sales division to handle the increase in the corporate accounts and it plans to introduce rewards programmes and networking events for decision makers and bookers.
As part of their new strategy they will also be exploring joint partnership opportunities with financial institutions, airlines and through credit card promotions to introduce loyalty programmes and employee benefit options.
"The hotel's location, right in the heart of Dubai, is perfectly placed for the city's business districts and the Dubai World Trade Centre and is just minutes from Dubai International Airport making it an ideal choice for business travellers" said Bauer.
Bauer also believes that the region is showing significant signs of recovery and that Dubai will see a strong surge in arrivals this year which will be beneficial to all business sectors but especIally the corporate sector as business levels start to pick up.
"A firm handshake is still the best way of closing a business deal and this cannot, obviously, be executed via teleconferencing. The need to travel therefore is still vital for business and the UAE, especially Dubai is widely known as a major trade destination"
